GET READY FOR WEDNESDAY

GET READY FOR WEDNESDAY
We may call this issue Multifamily Monday, but this Wednesday at the Westin Charlotte is going to be the real day of focus. That's when we are honored to present our second Charlotte event, this one devoted to—you guessed it!—the roaring state of multifamily. (Warning, product placement ahead: Sign up now!)

GET READY FOR WEDNESDAY
Doing our usual rigorous preparation (note the library books in their hands) we brought together last week at Chima Steakhouse some of the stars of the show for dinner and refreshments: Ginkgo Residential COO Scott Wilkerson, Reznick Group's Josh Northcutt, Grubb Properties CEO Clay Grubb, Reznick Group's Marshall Phillips, and Red Capital Group director Lee McNeer.

GET READY FOR WEDNESDAY
And still more scholars: First Landmark CEO Tim Hose, Bank of the Ozarks? C. Anthony Swainey, Charter Properties' John Porter, Reznick Group's Evie Victorson, and Charlotte Economic Development's Dennis Marstall.

GET READY FOR WEDNESDAY
This was Reznick Group's Marshall Phillips just this morning, burning the August oil getting ready to moderate. He has a consulting practice centered on tax credit syndication for developers, pulling together project finance sources for tax advantaged equity, via the likes of new markets, solar, historic, and affordable credits. The South Park resident (here because his wife is from Eastover) has done recent historic projects in Rochester and Buffalo, hotels in Orlando, a commercial project in Kansas City, and just closed a project with a developer in Winston-Salem for a barn turned into an event center. In other words, a busy time for him, not to mention having three young kids, doing work for Reznick Group in Chennai(formerly Madras), India last month, and driving to summer camp in Tuxedo. But at least it's not tax season.
