This new home in Mint Hill sits empty, and, well, sad. It's part of what had been planned to be a new luxury home community calledOlde Stonegate, a St. Lawrence Home development and one of a multitude in the area boarded up by the housing slump. (We don't know how many houses were planned but of three standing, one is 5,000 SF with six bedrooms, five baths, and a listing price of $184,900). But thankfully January 2011 figures inched up with an increase of almost 4% (1,885 closings) over last January (1,527), says the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association. Unfortunately, the yin to that yang was that sales prices for that period tumbled more than 6% to $188,147. |
