JUST THE FACTS, MA’AM
Cities that competed for the 2012 DNC Convention have been uniquely harsh to Charlotte. Some of it's deserved (maybe). One blogger noted NC unemployment is 9.8%, compared to 9% nationally. (It's 9.7% now, thank you.) But some of the barbs are justmean, suggesting the other cities—St. Louis, Cleveland, and Minneapolis—were spared a visit from ?a bunch of loony-toon, left-wing, nutcase Marxists.? But at least delegates visiting Charlotte have a better chance of surviving the trip. Recent FBI violent crime stats show St. Louis is the most dangerous city in America. Cleveland and Minneapolis tied for 10th. Charlotte? 118. But who's counting? |
