LOCUST LAUNCHES 1st TOWNHOMES EVER
The Stanly County community of Locust has for years been working on a complete downtown makeover, and it recently began construction on what will be its first-ever townhome development—a collection of 29 two and three-bedroom units that will sell for roughly$130k to $205k. The larger mixed-use concept, being developed by Main Street Properties, so far has included a new government center, as well as new business and retail space. Terry G. Whitley Development's Terry Whitley says his company is building the townhomes, which were designed by Locust-native and local architect Allen McGuire. ?Everybody?s a little skeptical,? Terry tells us. ?But we think they'll sell.? |
