MAKING IT LOOK EASY
It's been a whirlwind spring for DCG Construction and its business developer and chief rainmaker, Keely Monroe. The Charlotte-based company, which specializes in commercial interiors, has amassed a remarkable list of recent project completions. Highlights include a $600k makeover in Kings Mountain of an 1880s-era former Plonk?s (we did not make up that name) furniture building into Battleground Steakhouse & Bar. The restaurant is a new venture into Southern comfort food by Charlotte restaurateur Nick LaVecchia, known locally for LaVecchia?s Seafood Grill. DCG also recently completed a $500k, 70k SF upfit for Birmingham, Ala.-based Mayer Electrical Supply at Greenbrier Business Park and a $1.5M Latino grocery store called Galaxy Foods on Arrowood Road. And did we mention she's a new mom? Keely welcomed daughter Eloise into the world almost four months ago. She took some time off for maternity leave, which proved to be an eye opener for the fellas covering for her back at the office. ?They got to see what I do for a living.? |
