MUSIC FACTORY APARTMENTS
March 8, 2012
The developers of the NC Music Factory are planning a 200-unit, $20M apartment complex on five acres at NC Music Factory Boulevard and the I-277 overpass. (In order to live there you need to be able to manufacture brass instruments.) A boutique hotel also is planned, the Music Factory's Noah Lazes tells us, though there are no specifics at this time. The property is owned by Seaboard Street Condominiums, an LLC managed by Noah?s dad, Rick Lazes, chief executive of Ark Management. Ark developed Third Ward?s Music Factory entertainment complex, which includes a Comedy Zone, restaurants and venues featuring live music. Noah tells us the apartments, called NC Music Factory I, will rent for about $1,000 per month. Amenities will include a pool, courtyard, and computer center. Studio Fusion is architect. A GC has not been selected. A rezoning to allow the project is set for June 18. |
