Mike Kemmet of the Charlotte office of Cassidy Turley sees small businesses getting antsy about staying put. There's movement in the marketplace, he says, bolstering his attitude about the coming year. Mike was part of a Cassidy Turley team that recently brokered the$2.5M sale of the former Midtown Plaza building. A local partnership bought the 63k SF, four-story building, which has been only about a third leased. But Mike tells us he's got about 20k SF of hot prospects eyeing the space closely. And new owners Roy Goodeand Steve McCloud are now doing about $2M in renovations. They also changed the name to Midtown Centre. It's all in the brand. |
