RULERS OF THE ROOST
Rooster?s Wood-Fired Kitchen, one of SouthPark?s favorite dining establishments, will open a second venue at Fifth and College streets uptown in the Urban Garden at 1 Bank of America Center. The 5,000 SF eatery will be built on two levels, with architectural features that include reclaimed barn wood, hand-forged iron and built-in wooden wine racks. Nice place to nosh your gnocchi. Owner and chef Jim Noble tells us he wanted to open another Charlotte Rooster?s location before branching out into other corners of the Southeast. Construction is expected to begin any day. Menu items will include handmade pizza, fresh pastas, grilled chicken, steak, and seafood. (We like the linguine with clams and chorizo with a nice Chianti... fava beans optional.) Charlotte-based Hendrick Construction is GC. Atlanta-based The Johnson Studio is project architect. The construction cost wasn't released. |
