SAMET HOPES FOR $210M
There's something about having a place for everything and everything in its place. Greensboro-based Samet Corp operates five construction groups, each with its own specialty: Medical, commercial/industrial, education, mission-critical/IT, and (any guesses before you look?) . . . |
. . . multifamily, which is on fire. Samet?s Charlotte market development manager Charles Blankinship (whom we recently snapped at Caribou Coffee on East Blvd) tells us certain types of commercial clients are looking at 2013 and beyond. But multifamily is right here and now. Samet has more than 1,700 apartment units under construction in the Carolinas, including a 300-unit project at Langtree at the Lake in Mooresville and the 227-unit Fountains at Mooresville Town Square. And that success has prompted Samet to predict sales growth will rise to about $210M next year from about $190M this year. ?The impact we're having on the Charlotte market right now is in the multifamily arena,? Charles tells us. Setting up the various operating groups, he says, ?has helped us smooth out the dips in the current economy.? |
