WE WANT THE LUG NUTS!
The Ally Center, 440 S Church St, has snagged another restaurant. It's a distinctly American yin to (recently announced) Japanese hibachi HaSaki Grill's yang. Local restaurateur Rich LaVecchia tells us he plans to open American Roadside Burgers this fall. The "fast-casual" restaurant will occupy about 2,300 SF on the ground floor of the uptown bank building. Offerings will include beef burgers, turkey burgers, fried onion rings (is there any other kind?) and a variety of fresh salads. There's also a full dessert menu and milkshakes. But it's the lug nuts that caught our attention. The (presumably)NASCAR-inspired lug nut is a hot, fresh mini-donut dusted with powdered sugar. (Beer and wine, as well. But after the lug nuts, we're already lying on the sidewalk waiting for a cab.) Merrifield Patrick Vermillion's Keely Lane represented the landlord, Trinity Capital Advisors. Diehl Properties' Bill Diehl III represented American Roadside Burgers. |
