Charlotte's the No. 6 city in the country that most resembles the US as a whole. WalletHub factors in a number of characteristics, such as gender balance, age, racial composition, income and educational attainment, to get the ranking. It says ranking on the list is important for economic development for a number of reasons, including a company's decision about whether it wants cultural variety or uniformity; learning which cities exceed or lag behind national standards for factors such as education or income; and finding the most fertile ground to develop an entrepreneur’s business idea.
