Goodwill Opens Fourth University City Store

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is opening its fourth retail location in University City, a 12k SF store at 5808 University Pointe Blvd. The nonprofit's existing University City stores include a location of The GRID: Powered by Goodwill.
Proceeds from the sale of donated goods fund job training and employment services for individuals facing various barriers to employment, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. The organization has been in growth mode, especially since the recession; it now has 23 stores in the Charlotte region. [CBJ]
