Lincoln Harris Plans Smaller Market Retail with 20-Acre Buy
For retail owners, the best of the smaller markets in the Carolinas are calling. Recently Lincoln Harris acquired nearly 20 acres in Southern Pines, and it plans a 71k SF retail development there.
The company believes the development, Morganton Park South, will be a hit, Lincoln Harris' David Connor explains, because of a location convenient to Southern Pines and Pinehurst, with more than 16,000 vehicles passing by every day. Already Lowes Foods has agreed to anchor the project, with an additional 21k SF available, plus three outlots.
As part of the 188-acre Morganton Park master-planned community, Morganton Park South will be the first phase of development on the south side of Morganton Road. It will also benefit from being adjacent to established retailers, including Kohl’s, ULTA, Hobby Lobby and a Sandhills Stadium 10 movie theater.
