The Chicago Real Estate Council  took the Saint part of St. Patrick's Day to heart not just by wearing dashing scarfs, but by gathering in something called Cathedral Hall (at the University Club). We caught up with Advantage National Bank Group's Ursula Moncau, US Bank's Leonard Dzielski  and Mary Mullen, David DeBauche and Ticor Title's Shari Hafner before they dined on discussion of international investment. Mary is new to US Bank after its merger with Park National.

On the panel, Equity International's Jay Harron and Walton Street Capital's Tim Junker, who said he likes investing in India, where you can't borrow to acquire land, but must use cash. He discouraged investing in luxury second-home products because those tend to go first in bad markets. Jay says his firm has invested a lot in Brazil because its population is young and the country is energy and food independent.
