Jones Lang LaSalle released its Global Market Perspective last week, and VP of research Josh Gelormini tells us the landscape is much more differentiated than it has been. Investment in emerging markets, especially Brazil, is on the rise. Josh recently took a trip there and notes its large generation of young people with expendable incomes, government investment, and plenty of natural resources to spare; those mean it'll continue to be a solid investment for years. Some European markets, like Germany, had fewer unemployment problems than America and less to recover from. The re-emergence of CMBS and recent financial reforms in the US should help keep investment steady, he says. |
