CHICAGO AROUND THE WORLD
Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce's Gerald Roper spoke to FIABCI, the international council on real estate, yesterday at a luncheon at Marcello's in Old Town. Gerald said he'd like to work with the organization to help drive business from Chicago's 28-plus sister cities. (We just added Bogota yesterday. Mazel tov?) Chicago's $484 billion a year economy is reliant on income from international corporations like Takeda and Harris Bank, Gerald says, so real estate professionals should be aware of when international dignitaries and businessmen will be in town. |
