We're celebrating audience members from Bisnow Sustainability Summit Thursday. But first, some tricks and treats from Halloween.
The National Equity Fund's Maureen Mullady sent us this from The Backyard—that's what they call their lunchroom. The office's annual Halloween celebration, Hallopalooza, includes a lunch and costume contest today. Prizes have included $300 airline vouchers and nights in Chicago hotel rooms. Maureen says the contests and decorations honor a co-worker who died from cancer a few years ago. When the company isn't celebrating, they're working on funding and developing Hope Manor, an affordable housing complex for homeless veterans.
Students at the Art Institute of Chicago painted these pumpkins that tenant rep Howard Ecker + Cois is distributing to its clients and friends today. Sam Zell and Helmut Jahn will be among the recipients. The colorful pumpkins, an annual tradition, match Howard Ecker's colorful reputation in the industry.
At 500 Davis in Evanston, property manager Circle Realty Advisors puts on a pumpkin-carving contest for all of the tenants, which they try hard to win, says Circle's Alissa Helgesen. It appears a ghoul already got its hands on a carton of cider. |
