Chicagoland's Best Kept Secrets
August 10, 2010
The Metropolitan Planning Council and the Chicago Architecture Foundation want you to help them decide on the best undiscovered place in Chicagoland. The 24 finalists, submitted via Flickr photos and videos, are posted on PlacemakingChicago.com. They range from very public spaces, like the Lake Street Bridge, above in an MPC photo, to artistic havens like the Oakland Museum of Contemporary Art, to the very natural Will County Forest Preserve. Voting started yesterday and runs through Sept. 17. The winning place will be featured on a Chicago Architecture Foundation tour this fall. |
