DAYMARK'S MILESTONE
March 9, 2011
It's just a 6k SF expansion, but it's the first lease for Daymark Realty Advisors here in Chicago since the Grubb & Ellis asset management subsidiary launched last month. Yesterday, Bob Assoian told us he's just expanded the existing 44k SF lease to 50k SF at the Congress Center (525 W. Van Buren), bringing the total occupancy of the building to 94%, the highest rate since it was delivered to the market in 2001. This is Bob's baby—since he started leasing the building three and a half years ago, he's signed more than 216k SF of leases there. But he's also leasing all over the Midwest—-in fact, in the last month, he signed a 215k SF lease withPeabody Energy in St. Louis. |
