DSI BUILDS FOR CUSHMAN, VERIZON
In one of their hands is a candy bar... but which one? Core and shell building may be on a downturn, but DSI has found a niche in office and retail interiors and healthcare. Yesterday, we snapped DSI's Craig Manske and Jacob Karamol in their Loop offices. The contractor is building out the space of Cushman & Wakefield, which is building out multiple floors totaling 40k SF at 200 S Wacker. Craig says the space will be very tasteful, and DSI is building an in-suite staircase between the floors and four video walls for the entryway. The project is going very quickly: DSI just started working on it late last month, and it's slated to be finished by the second week of December. Holiday-slash-post construction party, anyone? |
Also in the category of fast-deadline jobs: The almost-completed Verizon Wireless HQ at the Schaumburg Corporate Center. The six-floor renovation required DSI to help employees vacate one floor and work on others while each floor was being done. The high tech, 10-month long project should be completed sometime next week. Beyond just celebrating what they're hoping is the end of the recession, DSI is celebrating its 20th anniversary next April. (Hope they have some leftover cake from all this celebrating.) |
