Good Deed
May 6, 2009
Reed Construction proved they're a bunch of all-around nice people by completing the build out for the Metropolitan Planning Council, preserving a historic building, and doing it all with the environment in mind. MPC leased 12k-SF at The Marquette Building, 140 S. Dearborn, one of the city's first skyscrapers, after relocating from 25 E. Washington. The LEED-Gold project—including reclaimed barn wood, recycled countertops and glass partitions—contains a 100-person board room and executive offices. Reed's Scott Pickands was project manager, Eastlake Studio designed, and JLL repped MPC at the MacArthur Foundation-owned building.
