In the last of the ?Reinventing Public Investment? series of luncheons from the Metropolitan Planning Council and the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Natural Resource Defense Council's Rebecca Stanfield, City of Chicago's Peter Mulvaney, and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District's Kevin Shafer spoke on sustainable choices. Rebecca pointed out that the new stimulus plan unites all parts of green infrastructure, which can benefit those looking to invest in eco-friendly development. |
MPC?s Mandy Burrell-Booth, Kim Bolton, Joanna Trotter, and Lillie Sellers are already working on a new set of programs, now that the series is over. Mandy has been organizing seminars with residents, architects, and finance professionals in Logan Square to redevelop the Milwaukee Avenue corridor in financially viable way. The next meeting is next Wednesday. |
