HKS, MAREGATTI INTERIORS JOIN FORCES
National architecture firm HKS acquired Maregatti Interiors last month, gaining its first ever presence in Chicago. HKS and Maregatti have teamed up in the past, mainly on healthcare projects like Resurrection Hospital in Chicago and, currently, the King Fahed Medical Center in Saudi Arabia, says HKS' Lisa Adams (seated) with co-workers Glenn Clarke, Peggy Moran, Emily Solomon, Nicole Czapek, Clark Grubbs, Iwona Borkowska, Lisa Tillman, Dena Dunlap, and Becky Luthman. Lisa says healthcare interiors are a growing sector right now, with more focus on design helping doctors toward positive outcomes for patients. (No sad clown paintings in the recovery rooms.) With 13 members in its Chicago office today, the firm plans to expand in 2012 and is finishing its new office space at 111 W Washington. |
