INTEGRYS KEEPS IT IN THE EAST LOOP
Joe Learner and Tiffany Winne
People's Gas owner Integrys signed a lease for  150k SF at the Aon Center starting in the summer of '14, making all the other tenants in the market feel like procrastinators. Integrys is moving just a few doors down from its 196k SF at 130 E Randolph. Studley's Joe Learner and Tiffany Winne (with colleague Lisa Davidson, who was unavailable to pose like a news anchor) started helping the utility company look for its new space in  '10. Saving both money and space was paramount, and the  large floorplates and consistent location for the company's workers helped make the decision easier, Joe and Tiffany tell us.

The Aon Center is now about  85%  leased, Jones Lang LaSalle's Steve Smith and  Mike Curran tell us. The duo repped  Piedmont Office Realty Trust and have seen a lot of leasing activity in the last 12 to 18 months in the city's third tallest tower, including  KPMG, Evraz, Veolia, and Microsoft. While the East Loop has shown high vacancy rates over the last few years, buildings just north of Millennium Park like Aon, The Smurfit-Stone, and Blue Cross Blue Shield  have benefited from the great views and solid ownership, Steve says.
