JLL BACK TO BACK DRESL CHAMPS
August 3, 2011
The 31st Downtown Real Estate Softball League season came to a close with Jones Lang LaSalle taking home (and breaking) the formerly taller trophy (again). (The arrows indicate that this trophy used to look a little more impressive.) We snapped Todd Schaeffer,Jascint Vukelich, Bill Rogers, Brian Recsetar, Mike Parlatto,Andy Serafine, and Aaron Rosdal with league commissioner Richie Klein celebrating their victory at Gamekeepers. Other big wins might be in store for the tenant rep team soon: We heard rumblings that a major Chicago corporation will enlist JLL's help for several new spaces.
It was a heartbreaking 5-0 loss for the Grubb & Ellis team of Robbie Ryan, Guy Greco, Dan Svachula, Joe Nowak, Brian Reaney,Jason Cooper, John Kinsella, Mike Wilson; they also came in second last season. But they're calling for a rematch in this year's Winter Classic on the last Friday in January. Grubb lost 15 brokers in June, but Mike says they're still holding strong and seeing a lot of action in the investment sales market. Late last month, Grubb's sale-leaseback team sold three buildings in Sauk Village and Texas.
We couldn't leave Gamekeepers without getting a picture of Golub's Lee Golub singing karaoke. Lee also hosted his annual trivia contest, where he handed out more than $2,500 in cash prizes (we learned that you can win $80 by knowing that the Boston Bruins are the only pro team to make the playoffs 29 consecutive years). Golub is working on LEED certification for several of its buildings, including 225 W Washington. |
