Landmark Under New Management
May 25, 2010
Golub's Tom Kienzle landed his first job out of college at an advertising agency in the John Hancock Center. Twenty-five years later, he's managing the building. Tom said he couldn't pass up the chance to manage a landmark in Chicago (of course he's already done a few, including the Civic Opera Building, 125 S. Wacker, and 180 N. LaSalle). Tom was recruited into property management by JMB as a young man, and had assignments in Southern California and Texas. Most recently, he was an asset manager for Heitman. Tom's immediate goals on the new gig? Reacquaint himself with the property, get to know the tenants, and help lease the remaining 250k-SF (about 30%) vacancy in the office portion of the tower. |
