Last Night's CREO Idol

Last Night's CREO Idol
It's not rare to get a song and dance  from brokers, contractors, and designers, but things were a bit more literal at CREO Idol. Members joined the Downtown Real Estate Softball League weekly party at Gamekeepers to show off their talent.

JLL's Adam Cook
The winner, JLL's Adam Cook, now has enough money to “put a ring on it,” as he sang in his rendition of “Single Ladies.” The construction manager won $500 for his efforts, with the help of JLL judge Dan Maslauski, who decided scores could  go up to 11. This should make a good first impression with GGP.
OFS Brands Elizabeth Lee
Runner-up OFS Brands' Elizabeth Lee  wowed us with some Carrie Underwood, but couldn't quite claim the championship without a costume change. There's still reason to keep her head up: One of the furniture lines OFS sells, Lowenstein's Stryde collection, won the People's Choice award at NeoCon last month. Elizabeth is part of OFS's  LEED-AP Team.
Advocate Commercial Real Estate Advisors' Craig Braham, Marc Realty's Lucyna Habina and Newmark Knight Frank's Richie Klein
We snapped Advocate Commercial Real Estate Advisors' Craig Braham, Marc Realty's Lucyna Habina, and Newmark Knight Frank's Richie Klein in the audience. Marc Realty's River City just signed a lease with  It Takes A Village, a preschool and elementary school that is expanding from 10k to 20k SF so it can add classes through 8th grade. Richie is enjoying the latest of over 20 summers as softball league commissioner.
Mid-America's Peter Caruso, Tom Fritz and Jose Gonzalez
Mid-America's Peter CarusoTom Fritz, and Jose Gonzalez celebrated their 7-3 season and playoff berth. They're also happy to have about 10 investment sales close to closing, with cap rates on retail properties down 25-50 bps  from last quarter, Tom says. Smaller tenants like Five Guys are still active in the marketplace, Peter says.
