MARILYN MOVES TO MAG MILE
July 21, 2011
Another American icon is gracing Pioneer Court at 401 N Michigan as Zeller Realty Group unveiled this 26-foot Marilyn Monroe sculpture Friday. She takes the place of the American Gothic statue that previously stood on the site and is on loan from The Sculpture Foundation through spring 2012. Public art buff Paul Zeller says he hopes she will encourage us to be proud, productive, self-assured, and a bit mischievous. The other two statues on the plaza (Jack Brickhouse and a moose) could be seen flexing quietly to themselves. |
