More Show and Tell
Last night, Architectureisfun and Visualized Concepts sponsored a Pecha Kucha night for architects and design professionals at English in River North. Independent architect Adina Balasu used her 20 slides at 20 seconds apiece to propose a bridge connecting Northerly Island and Lakeshore for the 2016 Olympics. The structure included three levels and two stages to entice performing artists to become part of the Games. Adina, who previously worked on the Aqua Tower, also used the opportunity to ask if anyone was hiring. (Unfortunately, for now, she may have more luck challenging Michael Phelps in the 50 free.) |
FGM Architects Valerie Jardon and Steve Welter surround independent designer Trinedy Nguyen and Too Much Fun's Raegen Porter. The four stepped in from the rain after a tipster at NeoCon alerted them to Pecha Kucha. |
