NAIOP LOVES CHICAGO

For the first time since NAIOP started its Developer of the Year award in the 1970s, two companies in the same asset class and from the same metro area have won back-to-back: Last year, The Alter Group, and this year CenterPoint Properties, which will receive the award this fall in Arizona. NAIOP's Kathryn Hamilton says the committee was impressed with CenterPoint's high-quality intermodal projects, like this one in Joliet. They also like the high volume and quick turnaround of sales Centerpoint displayed acquiring $390M last year, including an 87-building portfolio transaction that closed in just 45 days. CenterPoint sold a three-building, 400k SF portfolio and now owns and manages more than 34M SF. Congrats! |
