| W&M president Tony Malkin (they own the Empire State Building among many properties) and Steve Spinola, who's been president of the Real Estate Board of New York since 1986. Tony says NY has seen a turnaround in leasing, an increase in tours, and a decline in proposal-to-lease times. He foresees a decrease in public financing for real estate but says we should see a change by 1Q10, and that people will view NYC as an inexpensive world capital to locate businesses over the next 6-12 months. |
