If it's true that there are only two seasons in Chicago—winter and construction—then we're declaring winter officially over! |
Did somebody drop a contact lens? No, that's just Principle Construction's Jim Brucato and ID Label's William Powers and Neil Johnston checking out the engraved logo on that shovel before breaking ground on Label's new office and warehouse in Lake Villa on Friday. ID Label makes barcodes for warehouse packages and library books. They're using the 1.2 acre site adjacent to their 461 Park Ave. building for a new 21k-SF facility. |
Jim said he had enjoyed working with the company (including Jeff Chandler, Neil, William and Tom Morgan from right to left in the gray fleeces) through the long process of getting to the groundbreaking. They selected Mike Long (far right) of Principle to be the project manager and Partners in Design as architect. The building will include 4k-SF office, 16k-SF warehouse, and a 1K-SF mezzanine. Jim said he met the executives of ID Label at their kids' soccer games. We didn't even realize those fields had skyboxes. |
