Because being competitive at work isn't enough for some of you, Capital Realty's Scott Pfisterer, HSA Commercial's John Mangel, and Avison Young's Jonathan Malm organized the Chicago real estate community's first Real Estate Paddle Open last weekend. The sport, formally called platform tennis is played on elevated platforms one third the size of a tennis court with 12 foot wire fences, which can be used strategically as part of the game. This year's tourney involved 36 players at the Winnetka Platform Tennis Club. Winners included Draper and Kramers’ Jim Elsman, Appraisal Associates' Bill Enright, Mesa Development's Rich DeLeo, and Pinecone Partners' Dan Schmidt. (We'd start a Bisnow sports section, but even the Golf Network would call to complain we're covering golf too much.) |
