Realcomm: Day 2

| We?d shed a tear for the final day of Realcomm, but we had to act tough for our foreign guests. Realogic's Dale Vanderlaan with pals from across the border, Anadec Solutions' Don MacDougall, Alex Morton, and Mike Seidel, who flew from Toronto for their first Realcomm. Dale showed off Leaseabstract.com, a one-stop lease administration shop for building owners. (No truth to the rumor Realogic deleted the Edit-Undo function to prevent tenants from backing out.) Another system, Realogic Budget, helps owners import and export accounting systems and allows vendors to see their budget from anywhere. |

No one wants to eliminate projects, however technology, and IT workers, aren't unlimited resources. AMB Property Corp's Wayne Pryor, General Growth Properties' Mark Brown, and Tishman Speyer's Sandy Mechael spoke on ditching low priority projects and applications. Wayne says the decision making process should be the same as two years ago, but in the current economy, you should research and fight for projects you think really need to get done. |
