Roosevelt Gala Honors Goldie

| Real estate stars gathered at the Four Seasons on Thursday to recognize Goldie B. Wolfe Miller (second from left) with the Marshall Bennett Real Estate Award for her lifetime achievements. Goldie, here with Chicago Association of Realtors' Genie Birch, Cheryl Stein Inc.'s Cheryl Stein, and JLL's Paige Steers once headed up the country's largest woman-owned tenant rep firm. She now has a scholarship program for young women in real estate at Roosevelt, from which Paige is a recent graduate. Genie just got back from the National Association of Realtors meeting in New Orleans, where the realtors helped build homes for Katrina victims and decided what legislation to lobby for this spring. One hot topic is loan limits for homebuyers. | |

Stacie is in charge of leasing at 2 E. 8th, a student living facility that was master-leased by Columbia College until this school year. Since August, she's filled up the 800-bed South Loop building to individual students at Roosevelt,DePaul, Columbia and other Chicago schools. |
