SIOR Receives a Lesson
May 19, 2010
California Real Estate Receiverships' Stan Mullin helped SIOR members understand what their roles can be in receiverships during yesterday's monthly luncheon at the Rosewood. A former Grubb & Ellis broker, Stan says he'd like brokers to network with him so he knows what buildings might be close to needing a receiver. While brokers may not make a lot of money while the receivership estate is in place, they're likely to be hired by the lender when—and if—the lender takes over the property, Stan says. (The fact we caught some of you Blackberry-ing in the mirror suggests many got a head start on Stan's advice.) |
First Industrial's David Harker, GSW Ventures' Garry Weiss, Op2mize's Geoff Kasselman, and Venture One's Steven Goode listened and learned. Geoff is working on packaging energy and real estate services for a building in Harrisburg, Pa., a service he hopes to expand across the country. He also asked if he could get a stool to stand on the next time we took a picture of him. |
