Safety First
August 14, 2009
An unfortunate toe-stubbing has left Bisnow HQ accident-free for zero days. To avoid that fate, members of the Builders Association gathered yesterday for a quarterly Safety Forum, where Pepper Construction's Dan Delcore spoke on different techniques his company uses. Some members say safety is already up because workers don't want to get kicked off a job during the recession; Dan said commitment of the company president and safety committee, as well as tying project manager bonuses to safety, could improve practices even more. |
Brown and Momen's Ernest Brown and David Clark joined the forum. They're working on a number of school projects, including the new South Shore High, Powell Elementary, and Belmont Cragin Elementary. We're hoping they learned more than not to run with scissors at the luncheon. |
