Show Me The Money
March 22, 2010
All of the $935 million in stimulus for Illinois' roadways has been spent resurfacing 1,000 miles, according to IDOT's John Webber at a meeting of Women in Planning + Development on Thursday. But there's still money out there for high-speed rail, a train up to 200 mph, between Chicago and St. Louis. (This doesn't necessarily apply to your business, but, hey, fast trains!) HUD's Kimberly Danna, left, also reported that there's still $55M in neighborhood stabilization funds for everything from foreclosed houses to new retail developments in some of Chicago's poorest neighborhoods. But grants are going fast, so apply now! |
