Sometimes the Parents Move Out, Too . . .
August 16, 2010
The attraction of living near several quality restaurants and a fitness center has caught the eye of empty-nesters in the western suburbs,Burr Ridge Village Center sales manager Jim Losik tells us. Perhaps because the condos have a little something extra: a 20-acre shopping center on the ground level. The 1k-4k SF units—from one bedrooms to penthouses—are about 64% sold, he says. | |
Units start at $300k, and Jim tells us they haven't had to reduce prices during the recession. Buyers can choose from four buildings, some above the shops and others in a separate building. James has seen a recent pickup in people shopping for condos, even a few coming out of the city. He hopes that new additions to the center, including a bookstore and two restaurants will bring in more buyers. |
