Student Housing in Latin America
Tony DiBiase
A certain Florida metropolis is known for its business connections to Latin America, but Chicago's also no slouch. During Bisnow's Capital Markets Summit last week, we had a chat with Nove International co-founder Tony DiBiase. He told us that one of Nove's expanding businesses is developing student housing in Latin America. The opportunity is significant, he says, since there's never been much in that part of the world. Generally, students live with their own families, or if not, board at private residences. Now that's changing. (Dorm life coming to Rio? Sign us up.)

Nove's also busy in the student housing arena closer to home. The Buckingham, a student housing property in downtown Chicago, recently hired the company to market the building. Located at 59 E Van Buren, the building includes over 450 beds and features views of the Chicago lakefront, something not too many other students get.
