The Missner Group bought the 40k SF industrial property at 2530 Production Dr in St. Charles and the 28k SF industrial building 640 Kimberly Dr in Carol Stream. Colliers signed Alps Wire Rope Corp to a long-term lease in St. Charles and arranged a sale-leaseback with Illinois Central School Bus in Carol Stream. Missner's Barry Missner and Edward Adler worked on the deals.

Hawk Fasteners, repped by Lee & Associates' Walter Murphy, bought the 28k SF industrial building at 12306 S Laramie Ave in Alsip. Ed Lowenbaum repped the seller.

Dura Valve bought the 10,500 SF industrial building at 1621 Brummel Ave in Elk Grove Village from Royal Omega, which was repped by Lee & Associates' Terry O’Hara.

Craig Steven Development bought the 30k SF Waterstone Place Shopping Center at 34500 N Hwy 45 in Third Lake. Lee & Associates' Rick Scardino repped the buyer, and CBRE's Derrick Almassy repped the seller.

Mac’s Convenience Stores bought two acres at the northwest corner of Fleetwood and McLean Boulevard in Elgin. Lee & Associates' Ken Franzese and John Cassidy repped the seller.

Aldi leased an 18k SF endcap in Schiller Park Commons at 9726-9318 Irving Park Rd for 20 years. The center's redevelopment will deliver late this year. Lee & Associates' Rick Scardino repped the owner, and CBRE's Craig Lillibridge repped Aldi.

A medical admin company, repped by MB Real Estate, renewed 27k SF at 180 Harvester Dr in the Estancia Corporate Centre in Burr Ridge. Mars Equities' Matt Barry and NAI Hiffman's Dan O’Neill and Jim Adler repped the landlord.

Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, repped by Bradford Allen Realty Services' Sameena Mustafa Basit and Craig Nadborne, renewed 16k SF at 1279 N Milwaukee Ave. Centrum Properties repped the landlord, AGC West Town Center Owner LLC.

Owen Wagener's Carrie Wagener renewed and expanded Integra Healthcare to 21k SF at Elmhurst Metro Court (747 Church Rd). She also renewed Cyberbond to 19k SF of warehouse at Batavia's 401 N Raddant Rd and Champion Container to 20k SF of warehouse at Elmhurst's 133-135 Diversey.

CBRE Capital Markets' John Parrett secured a $6.4M loan to refinance the 73k SF 601 S LaSalle office building.
CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT
 

Morgan / Harbour broke ground Wednesday on a 140k SF LEED Gold global HQ for Hub Group, which will relocate its 300 employees from Downers Grove to Oak Grove. It's Oak Grove's first new building since 2000 and will deliver in fall 2013. Morgan / Harbour's Warren Seil, Ben Warriner, Graeme Foster, and Jim McCarron are working on the Solomon Coldwell Buenz-designed project.

Duke Realty broke ground the same day on Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc's 230k SF distribution center on 10 acres along Busse Road in Elk Grove Village and will deliver it in April 2013. CBRE's John Suerth repped Yusen, and Colliers' David Bercu repped Duke.

Reed Construction completed a 13k SF buildout at 181 W Madison for HFF, which relocated from 200 W Madison. Brian Courtney was senior project manager, and Hydzik Schade Associates did the architecture.

Morgan / Harbour will deliver an 84k SF buildout for MBX Systems’ HQ and manufacturing facility in Libertyville in October. MBX is relocating to the former Motorola facility at 1900 Winchester (renamed 1200 Technology Way) from Wauconda. Heitman Architects is working on it, and Cushman & Wakefield is the construction manager. The Morgan / Harbour team: Ben Warriner, Noah Warriner, and Steve Bulger.

Krusinski Construction will work on Barnes & Thornburg's interior renovation and buildout at One N Wacker Dr. Andrew Johnson is senior project manager and Chuck Onik is project superintendent. Ware Malcomb is the architect.

Morgan / Harbour Construction will work on a 76k SF expansion for American NTN Bearing Manufacturing Corp at Elgin's 1700 Holmes. Maeda Corp's Carry Myers is construction manager, Ben Warriner is Morgan / Harbour project exec, and Josh Peters is project manager. Harris Architects is also working on it.
PERSONNEL ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Marc Blum
Next Realty promoted Marc Blum (above) to president and Jack Ramirez to VP of finance. Marc joined the company in '01 and became COO, a title he'll also retain, in '04. He's also worked for Klaff Realty, Ocwen Financial Corp, and Ocwen Investment Corp. Jack joined in '03 as controller and has also worked for The John Buck Co, JLL, CBRE, and US Equities Realty. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Northeastern Illinois University.
 
John Sebree

Marcus & Millichap named John Sebree, who's head of the firm's national multi housing group, VP. Before joining the company last year, he worked for HFF.

Skender Construction hired Tim Lally as safety director. Previously, he worked at Power Construction. The company also promoted Katherine Calenberg and James Maher to project manager. Katherine joined in '05. James joined last year and has also worked for W.E. O'Neil Construction. He has a bachelor's in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
