Coldwell Banker's Bruce Heller repped Vacant Property Security in its new 17k-SF lease at 4000 S. Morgan Street in Chicago. Paine/Wetzel-ONCOR International's Edward C. Wabick, Michael D. Nelson and Mark A. Nelson represented the landlord, Clear Channel Outdoor, Inc. in the transaction.

Paine/Wetzel-ONCOR International's Edward C. Wabick and Adam J. Karras repped both the tenant and landlord in a 66k-SF lease for Jacobs Engineering in Hammond, Indiana. Simborg Industrial Real Estate Inc. is the landlord at 3232 Calumet Ave. Jacobs took the space because they are working on a $3.9 billion expansion of the nearby BP Amoco refinery.

Santa's Best, a Christmas ornament manufacturer, signed a new lease for 10k-SF at 3750 Deerfield Parkway in Deerfield. Paine/Wetzel-ONCOR International's Whit R. Heitman represented Santa's Best. CBRE's Mike Whistler represented the landlord, Federal Life.

Medical Business Consultants Midwest, Ltd. relocated to 8k-SF at 155 N. Pfingsten Road in Deerfield. MB Real Estate's Boris Yelyashov and Joe Reber represented the tenant. Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler's Chris Cummins and Steve Kling represented building ownership. Medical Business Consultants moved its offices from Northbrook.

The Brant Companies leased 40k-SF of warehouse space at 9200 Calumet Ave. in Munster, Indiana to Wal-Mart. Simborg Development is the building's landlord. The space is being used for temporary storage as Wal-Mart remodels its Schererville store.

NAI Hiffman has been named the exclusive leasing agent for TIAA-CREF's Oak Brook Regency Towers. The 402k-SF property is at 1415-1515 West 22nd Street in Oak Brook, opposite the Oakbrook Center Mall. The facility consists of two thirteen-story office buildings, connected to a three-level parking garage and a one-story, 14k-SF retail concourse. NAI Hiffman's Daniel O'Neill, James Adler, and Patrick Kiefer are the new leasing agents. NAI Hiffman has retained the existing Oak Brook Regency management staff led by Marcia Elsinger.
Sales Transactions
Concrete construction business owner Jose Carrera purchased a 5k-SF facility at 1395 Louis Ave. in Elk Grove Village. Paine/Wetzel ONCOR International's Theresa Gleason represented the owner. Brown Commercial's Brad Bullington repped the buyer.

Sandler Sanitary Wiping Cloth Company has sold its 68k-SF warehouse at 2229 S. Halsted in Chicago to Sterling Bay Companies. NAI Hiffman's Brian Colson,Larry Goldwasser, and Eric Fischer repped Sandler Sanitary. Sterling Bay plans to rehab the interior and exterior of the building to create loft industrial units.

The Chicago Transit Authority through Jones Lang LaSalle is soliciting proposals to operate, manage, and maintain CTA parking facilities with about 3,700 parking stalls on 11 surface commuter parking lots, one structured parking garage and 31 Under * L* parking facilities. Proposals are due on Friday, June 26.

Jeff Perpich has joined Grubb & Ellis Co. as senior vice president, director of Management Services. Jeff comes to Grubb & Ellis from Morgan Stanley, where he was an executive director. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Jeff spent six years at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments. He earned B.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Denver and his M.B.A. from DePaul University.

Blake Johnson has joined CBRE's Chicago Capital Markets - Investment Properties Group as EVP. Blake will partner with Michael Vesper and Michael Caprile. He comes to CBRE after twelve years with New York-based Eastdil Secured, where he served as Managing Director. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Rice University.

Grubb & Ellis Company announced that it has promoted John Gavin, Jim Kerrigan, Paul Lundsted t, Vineet Sahgal, Jay Stewart, Sven Sykes, Tom Tunnicliff and Tom Volini to EVP from SVP. John and Paul joined Grubb & Ellis' Institutional Capital Markets group in February of 2009 from Cushman & Wakefield.
Jim joined Grubb & Ellis in September of 2008 to lead the company's National Data Center practice group. Previously, he was a principal with Staubach and then Jones Lang LaSalle. Tenant rep team Tom Tunnicliff and Jay joined in 2007 after working together at Trammell Crow and The John Buck Co.
Vineet joined Grubb & Ellis in 2005 from JLL, while Sven came over in 2003 from Insignia/ESG. Tom Volini joined the firm in 2001 and has been consistently in the company's Circle of Excellence.
