John M. Przybyla has been named first VP at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. John was VP and regional manager in the Chicago Downtown office. John joined Marcus & Millichap in 1999 as sales manager of the Los Angeles office and later that year was promoted to regional manager. He is a graduate of the College of St. Francis in Illinois.

Raymond Mazzocco  and Mark Pasquella  have been promoted to EVPs, global corporate services, at CB Richard Ellis. Raymond and Mark co-lead a team of 12 professionals working exclusively with major US corporations. In 2009 the team completed 410 transactions, working with over 100 different CBRE offices around the globe.

Brandon Berger  has joined the suburban office brokerage team at Cushman & Wakefield.  He comes from Chicago-based Bradford Allen Realty Services, where he spent six years focused on office sales and lease transactions in downtown Chicago and the northwest suburbs. At C&W, he will focus on biz dev efforts for the Marilyn Lissner-Susan Rosen team’s suburban office brokerage practice. Brandon is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Sales

Venture One Real Estate closed on a 60k-SF industrial facility at 4909 70th Ave in Kenosha. The building is fully leased to Pneumatech Inc. Venture One was repped by Commercial Investment Partners David Lange. The seller, Brookfield, WI-based PT Enterprises, was repped by Pitts Brothers & Associates’ Rob Pitts.

United States Brass & Copper purchased a 20k-SF industrial building located at 320 Eisenhower Lane North in Lombard. Lee & Associates' Jeff GalanteJeff Janda, and Jim Planey  represented building ownership, a private trust. Cushman & Wakefield's Sean Henrick represented the buyer.

Leasing

Inland Real Estate Corporation signed a 12k-SF lease with Casual Male Retail Group for the company’s new superstore concept,Destination XL, in the Schaumburg Promenade, adjacent to the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. Destination XL is scheduled to open in summer and will be the prototype for future stores. Inland also signed a 5k-SF lease with Franco Tricoci, a day spa and hair salon, at Woodfield Plaza, also in Schaumburg.

Citi Trends Inc. signed a long-term lease at Sun Plaza, 52nd Street and 32nd Avenue in Kenosha.  HSS Management Co.'s  Michael Horne  represented the landlord.  CBRE's Peter Glaser  repped the tenant. Citi Trends is slated to move to the plaza in summer 2010.

Lee & Associates' Terry O'Hara represented Fastmore Logistics in leasing 7k-SF at 251 Eastern Avenue in Bensenville. Lee & Associates Nick Eboli  represented building ownership.

AMIC Global, Inc. has leased 8k-SF of flex space at 728 Anthony Trail in Northbrook. Lee & Associates' Jim Planey and Paul Tesdal represented building ownership, Margen Management Company. The Tideman Co.'s Jeff Tideman represented the tenant.

Ozburn-Hessey Logistics has leased 37k-SF of warehouse space located at 850 Devon Avenue in Bensenville. Lee & Associates'Chris Nelson and John Sharpe  represented building ownership,Cabot Properties, and Champion Realty's JD Salazar  of Champion Realty represented the tenant.

Intercorp  has leased 20-SF of warehouse space located at 2545 Millennium Dr. in Elgin. Lee & Associates Chris Nelson  and Ronan Remandaban repped building ownership, Henke Real Estate Investments.  NAI Hiffman's Adam Marshall repped the tenant.

Velocity Express leased 36k-SF of warehouse space located at 1601 Lunt Avenue in Elk Grove Village.  Lee & Associates' Chris Nelson and Jeff Janda represented building ownership, Cobalt Capital PartnersMohr Partners represented the tenant.

Bay Valley Foods leased an additional 156k-SF at 501 Steward Road in Rochelle. They now occupy 206k-SF. Lee & Associates' Jim Planey and  Jeff Janda represented building ownership, ProLogis. Lowenbaum REP Inc.'s Ed Lowenbaum represented the tenant.

Lee & Associates' Brian Vanosky represented Metal Supermarkets in leasing 5k-SF of warehouse space at 9012 S. Thomas Avenue in Bridgeview. The landlord, A.F. Moore & Associates, represented themselves.

Company News

DLR Group announced that Southern California-based WWCOT  is joining the firm. WWCOT locations in Los Angeles, Modesto, Palm Springs, and Riverside will become DLR Group WWCOT and continue to work in concert to form a new Southern California office for DLR Group. A WWCOT office in Shanghai will become DLR Group WWCOT to give the firm a formal presence in Asia. The merger provides DLR Group with an established presence in SoCal and complements its existing Sacramento office.

In a joint venture with Studley and Pickens-Kane Companies, Second Systems' Fred Sanders  recycled more than 300 Allsteel workstations from 111 E. Wacker Drive in Chicago to be resold on the Quality Used Office Furniture Market. This saved more than 200,000 pounds of waste from going into landfills. Fred also participated with Jones Lang LaSalleReed Construction, and Kinsale Contracting to remove and resell three floors of used Herman Miller workstations from the 225 S. Wacker Drive location in Chicago, also eliminating approximately 170,000 pounds of waste.
