| It was crowded today at our Bisnow Breakfast & Schmooze in Boston on Health Care Real Estate, featuring officials from world class Boston medical institutions like the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Children's Hospital, and Partners Healthcare, as well as major investors, owners, and brokers. Speakers said it's a challenging industry but (reminding us of what we hear at all our multifamily conferences) the demographics inevitably make it a major real estate opportunity as rising demand for health care impels development. We held our conference in Back Bay and much of the attention focused on redevelopment of the Fenway area, which used to be known just for the Red Sox, but is now being gentrified in part to serve the burgeoning medical staff and student populations of the adjacent Longwood area. |
