Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Craig Cassell repped Financial Management Systems in two leases totaling 52k-SF of office space. The first, 24k-SF at 1000 E. Woodfield Road in Schaumburg, is a renewal and expansion of the company's HQ. The second, 27k-SF at 4021 Morsay Drive in Rockford represents a new location for FMS and was secured to support the company's role as a federal contractor.

Prudential Douglas Elliman?s Faith Hope Consolo and Joseph Aquino have secured a lease for world-renowned Sermoneta Gloves at The 900 Shops at 900 North Michigan Avenue on the Magnificent Mile. The shops include over 70 luxury lifestyle shops, including Gucci, Michael Kors, Max Mara, and Bloomingdale?s.

Paine/Wetzel ONCOR International's Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson repped both buyer and seller in the $2.4M sale of the 80k-SF 6630 W. Wrightwood, the first building above 40k-SF to sell on the northwest side of Chicago this year. Chicago Steel Rule & Die was the seller and Lacava the buyer.
Sales
Paine/Wetzel ONCOR International completed a 15k-SF industrial sale at 1991 Duncan Place in Woodstock. Ortho Molecular Products, Inc, which specializes in nutritional solutions for healthcare providers, purchased the new precast facility. It will be converted to a free-standing corporate office. Paine/Wetzel's G. Pat Ryan represented the seller, RK, LLC. Colliers Bennett & Kahweiler's Mike Adams represented the tenant.
Construction
The 416k-SF distribution and office facility that Krusinski Construction Company built for a Fortune 20 company near Chicago has been recognized for advanced environmental design. The facility is the second of its kind in Illinois to receive USGBC LEED status. It includes high-efficiency lighting and HVAC, low-emitting paints, coatings, adhesives and sealants, and extensive use of recycled and locally sourced materials. In other sustainable projects, Krusinski recently completed a 7k-SF roof garden at the Chicagoland Laborers Training and Apprentice Center in Chicago.

ARCO/Murray National Construction Company has been named construction manager for the design and construction of the 5-story precast parking garage at 175 W. First Street in Elmhurst. The City of Elmhurst plans to provide 260+ parking stalls for commuters utilizing the nearby Metra station. Also, a small park will be created at the southernmost end of Larch Avenue. Construction is anticipated to start in mid-October and be completed by mid-spring of 2010. ARCO/Murray's team includes Brad Dannegger is the project executive, Leonidas Stellakis lead project manager, Dan Bick project engineer, and Brian Matthies senior superintendent.

ARCO/Murray has also completed a 13K-SF tenant build-out for Questmark at 1120 Commerce Drive on behalf of Capital Realty & Development's David Matheis. Joe Pomerenke was the project executive with Chris Niedhammer as lead project manager.Eggersdorfer Architects provided the architectural services. NAI Hiffman's Mark Moran and John Whitehead represented the building and Paine/Wetzel ONCOR International's Bill Kerrins provided the brokerage services to the tenant.

Meridian Design Build completed construction on the 507k-SF Bluff Point III Distribution Facility, Land and Lakes Development Company?s third project within Bluff Point Business Park, at the intersection of Joliet Road and Bluff Road in Romeoville. Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler's Jeff Kapcheck and Lynn Reich are the leasing agents for Land and Lakes. Harris Architects, Inc. and Jacob and Hefner Associates provided architectural and civil engineering services respectively. Peter Stadler and Fred Jennings handled the project for Meridian Design Build.

Maureen Ehrenberg has joined CB Richard Ellis Group as senior consultant with its Global Corporate Services organization. As Senior Managing Director based in CBRE's Chicago office, she will serve a range of corporate, healthcare, and public sector clients, assisting them with identifying and implementing portfolio-wide cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives. She conducted graduate-level research in international economics at The City University in London, where she completed her bachelor's degree with joint honors in economics and accounting.

Anthony Burns has joined the UGL Equis? Chicago office as an SVP. Anthony is a 19-year industry veteran and industrial specialist and was a founding member of NAI Hiffman Industrial Brokerage Group in 1999. In 2006, he launched Sydney Investments, a value-added industrial real estate acquisition company. He has a BA in Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and began his career in Australia's banking industry before venturing into industrial real estate in 1988.
