As an engineer and mathematician, it’s rare that he sees the MEP systems his team designs featured in TV ads. But creating an air-handling system for Rush Medical Center’s new complex (that keeps the air quality throughout the facility operating-room-clean) was news that the hospital broadcast. |

Randy’s team is gearing-up to start designing MEP systems for two mega-medical complexes in the Mid-East (front row: Dina Hoerth, Craig Kos, Ramesh Munagala and Randy). Last spring, they did the schematic design for the Saudi Arabian King Abdullah Medical City: a 4.4M SF hospital, a 269k SF research building, a 419k SF rehabilitation facility, and a 300k SF academic building. The challenge: complete the design concepts in two months and work with codes and standards different than those used in the US. |
