Avison Young Buys Chicago Developer
Toronto firm Avison Young has purchased Chicago's Mesa Development. Richard Hanson, who founded the company in 2000, and James Hanson will join Avison Young's Chicago office as principals. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, Crain's reports. Mesa's projects include two downtown luxury condo towers: Legacy at Millennium Park and Heritage at Millennium Park. William Lyons will become director of construction in Chicago at Avison Young, and Doris Walters will be an administrative coordinator, joining Avison Young's 73 employees in its downtown office.
