Moody Bible Institute Wants To Redevelop Parts Of Its Campus

In a surprising move, Moody Bible Institute is seeking a more flexible rezoning of its campus in order to lease parts of it to developers. It's a move that, if the city approves, could prove a boon for developers seeking land that's becoming rare in River North.
Projects on its surplus properties could range from commercial to multifamily and mixed-use, DNAInfo reports. Moody's campus spans 20 acres, but it isn't known how much the university would allot for redevelopment.
Moody Global Ministries COO Steve Mogck says seeing all the cranes in the air makes it clear that area property valuations are rising, but that wasn't a determining factor in Moody seeking the zoning change. [DNA]
