Preservation Chicago Releases Chicago's Most Endangered 2015
Chicago is known for its prominent architecture, but some of its most treasured landmarks remain at risk. Every year, development, old age and abandonment leave these buildings vulnerable. To promote awareness, Preservation Chicago releases an annual "Chicago 7," a list of Chicago's most endangered architectural gems. This year that list includes Clarendon Park Community Center, the main building of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and the Pioneer Arcade & New Apollo Theatre (pictured). Preservation Chicago will also lead a bus tour on Saturday, May 9, showcasing these at-risk structures.
