The 40th Ward to Receive 10 New Divvy Stations

Chicago

Now that we know that bike sharing in Chicago is generally faster than public transit and that Chicagoans took over 3.2 million Divvy trips between 2013 and 2014, Divvy is expanding its territory. The popular bike sharing system recently announced it will be adding 176 Chicago stations, broadening its territory to 476 locations across 87 square miles, and bringing 10 new stations to Chicago's growing 40th Ward alone. The new locations are the areas were public transit tends to be spotty, so bike sharing will make for a more accessible neighborhood, Curbed reports. Here's a list of the 40th Ward's new Divvy station sites:

1. Lawrence and Washtenaw
2. Lincoln and Winona
3. Foster and Francisco
4.
Lincoln and Bryn Mawr
5. Foster and Damon
6. Balmoral and Wolcott
7. Clark and Bryn Mawr
8. Peterson and Damen
9. Peterson and Maplewood
10. Clark and Schreiber
